Northeast Vector-borne Diseases & Personal Protection Techniques

April 28, 2009

On April 28, 2009 we sponsored a free, half day session on tick biology & disease, WNV & EEE, and repellent/personal protection; the Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project (CMMCP), with help from Clarke Mosquito Control Products, Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine & the Mass. Dept. of Public Health, State Laboratory Institute & the Epidemiology Program also generously gave their time and expertise to this event.

The purpose of this seminar was to educate field staff about tick & mosquito-borne diseases, as well as proper repellent use and other personal protection techniques. We had information packets available for attendees with tick cards, the mosquito & tick brochures, repellent wipes, etc. Participation certificates were  available for those who pre-registered.
