ABSTRACT

My power point presentation will highlight the difficulties involved in cleaning a 3,200' drainage ditch running parallel to a set of rail road tracks in back of Kings Plaza, New Bedford. All workers on the project had to participate in a Roadway Worker Protection / On Track Safety Program provided by Mass Coastal R/R and a R/R flagman had to be present before we could enter the worksite. I will also touch on our cooperation with city departments, recycling of materials removed from the ditch, erosion control measures, and the use of our excavator mounted, Denis Cimaf DAH-080C brushcutter.
