ABSTRACT

Mosquito control has embraced many new technologies over the past decade or two, from computerized administrative functions, websites for public outreach, electronic field data collection using GIS, and utilizing GPS units for field accuracy to name a few. Using social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube can increase your outreach and extend your educational efforts. This presentation will cover basic aspects of the most popular social media forums and reasons to maintain a presence in this medium.
