2020 NMCA Call for Presentations

The NMCA has already announced that it will not host its in-person meeting that was originally scheduled for December 2020 at the Cape Codder Hotel and Conference Center.

Instead, the NMCA will be hosting a virtual event that will take place on six consecutive Wednesday afternoons from 1-3pm starting January 6, 2021 and ending February 10, 2021.

The NMCA welcomes presentations on any topic related to mosquito biology, control and associated topics.

Though we do not currently have set session topics set up, we are encouraging presentations related to Eastern Equine Encephalitis, climate change as it relates to mosquito biology and control including salt marsh mosquito management related to increasing sea level rise, and all things mosquito biology and entomology.

PowerPoint Presentations will be moderated by a host from The Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases at Cornell University. A huge thanks to Emily Mader and crew for helping us out on this front.

We realize that the actual conference presentations will take place in 2021 but we will continue to name this a “2020” conference for the sake of continuity, as we hope to be back at the Cape Codder in December 2021.

All presentations will be recorded and will be posted on a web platform, yet to be determined, for viewing by anyone who wishes to engage. Further details on registration and CEUs will be available on the Association website in the next few weeks. Registration will be required to receive credits.
