David Lawson, Assistant Superintendent, Norfolk County Mosquito Control Project

Dave has been with the Norfolk County Mosquito Control Project since 1993. Dave has worked on improving the relationship of the Project with local towns and conservation commissions, by actively seeking the input of these people on projects proposed in their jurisdiction. This has led the Project to be viewed less as an environmental opponent, and more as an ally as we try to meet the mosquito control requests of the residents and balance those requests with environmental concerns.

Prior to his work in Norfolk County, Dave was employed by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in the Mosquito Abatement Office, working primarily on the Eastern Equine Encephalitis Surveillance Monitoring. Dave Received his Masters Degree in Geology at the University of Rhode Island, and presently resides in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife and two daughters.
